Jerry Galich's 400GT 2+2
~ Jerry's 1967 400GT 2+2 ~
I have finally firmed up the deal for a 1967 400 GT 2+2, #586, belonging to a 30 year owner Jerry Galich.
It is perhaps one of the only 400GTs to be entered into a real race. Jerry raced the car in a Mexican Road Race, and at Palm Springs in the 1980s.
Jack Riddell can tell us more about Jerry and his car. Jerry ran a shop in California and was an Alfa mechanic. Sadly, his health is failing, and he can no longer care for the 400GT.
So, I am planning at trip to California in December to meet Jerry and take delivery of the car. It comes with a complete spare Espada engine, and a few other parts.
Fred may be gracious enough to post some photos of the car at the time of the race, which is how it currently looks. My plans are to take it back to its correct original Silver color, while its black orig interior will be retained.
I consider it a very rare occasion and privilege to be able to get this car from a long time owner.
